Well, when it comes to this topic I see two thoughts.

The first is how much did Islam get lobotomized by the Siege of Baghdad in 1258? "The rivers ran red with the blood of our scholars and the rivers ran black with the ink of our books".

The other point is that Mohammad was a warrior. His teachings are not as cooperative and are more about control. Science is not about control. Islam can have no new prophets, but science must.
