Want to know the solution? It's easy. Do what they used to do. Teach basic philosophy starting in grammar school. STEM has crowded out all education, including civics, home economics, manual arts history, etc. It does not teach critical thinking or morals. Philosophy does. Teach it again and many societal problems will go away. Not advanced philosophy, the most basic kind to get children to start thinking.
