There's an irony to Trump's desire for revenge. Jesus did not say not to lie or steal or commit adultery. Those were laws before his time. His messages were simply of love and forgiveness. I cannot imagine a more anti-Christian value than revenge, the stated goal of Mr. Trump. I mean, even if not in the scriptural way, that really makes Trump the anti-Christ.
The evangelicals think Trump will make America a Christian nation, but considering his habits and all the felons he surrounds himself with, they should understand that he means to make it a criminal country.
I'm a biologist that works on describing what strategies humans will need to survive into the future. Biology shows that humans have two main strategies: "the red of tooth and claw" blind competition commonest to nature, and the cooperation reflected in the rapid brain size increase when we "left the trees". I reached the limits of biology and looked at philosophy for ideas. Biology shows that "civilization" is now our ecology, our life support system, so it is critical we avoid war... which destroys civilization. So what philosophies support cooperation and peace. Stoicism and Buddhism were largely created to cope with war, but the question is about a philosophy that would avoid war. There is one, probably derived from Zoroaster. It got traction thousands of years later when taught by a philosopher in the Middle East. The phislophy was "love one another".
