Taxes are the price of civilization from which all real modern wealth comes from.

The anti-vax, gun rights, anti-abortion, anti- LGBTQ etc., are all part of the culture wars meant to hide the economic wars that are eating alive their base and the American working class. Culture wars don't really ever effect one's pocket book but that is what the Republicans want holding everyone's attention. The Republicans don't want their base noticing the current inflation is powered by profit taking that originates with their wealthiest donors.

Keep in mind, Trump is a symptom. He appealed to people that were hurting and they responded because they are desperate. The idea he would help them is silly, but the economic wars are killing working families. The culture wars are just to distract from that.
