I work to describe how humans can adapt genetically and strategically to the changes, using an ecological framework to organize the examination. It's the tool for describing a species and its survival parameters so it's quite useful. It immediately reveals the massive changes in just about every aspect of human existence. Most importantly though is shows the instinctual basis of where we are and how that leads to many of the current problems we need to solve. Better still, looking at potential strategies based on instinctual limitations, it shows the alternative. I'm sort of hoping that a recognition of these two instinctual potentials, their problems and their potentials will prompt humanity to choose the one that will work best. The point though is that without the instinctive potentials, I don't think the change would be possible.

One other thing the ecological examination shows. We ain't seen nothing yet. We quietly have made changes that haven't hit us yet. What we call human progrerss is the removal of natural selective effects, somehting no species can survive. I found an ethical, economical solution that should feel comfortable, but it will lead to changes that are pretty basic. We will have to take our genetic and strategic destiny in hand. We can and if we do, it will be amazing.

I work on long term human survival as humans try to adapt to a new ecology after we left the tribal ecology for the farms and cities of civilization
