Did the dualities come from the mythology or the mythology from dualities? Humans are such simple folk. We have to learn to even think in more than single threads. It is an enlightened person that even thinks of the multiple aspects of most that we encounter.

The duality I study and that can be easily converted to good vs evil, is the well known story of the two wolves in us all, one representing good, the other evil and the choice one must make between them. Is the duality false? The science, a very good form of truth, is that humans have evolved two instincts for survival. There is the common blind competition of "red of tooth and claw" nature. There was also the cooperation we developed for survival for the 3 million years after we started really walking (Lucy). It corresponds to the rapid evolution of the brain size. That duality is not arbitrary and translates to good and evil quite nicely. For all instincts, there is a strategy, a software to match the hard wiring of those neurons. What is the greatest possible strategy of cooperation? I can't recall the philosopher's name at the moment, but I well remember the lesson: "love one another".

I work on long term human survival as humans try to adapt to a new ecology after we left the tribal ecology for the farms and cities of civilization
