What we have called human progress is the removal of natural selection. No species can survive the genetic load that leads to. (The folks at the UK Bio Bank are seeing this and calling it "Penetration".)
I described an economical, ethical way to solve the problem. Classical eugenics is to select against the "weak or inferior" genes as natural selection does. Natural selection is a blunt stupid instrument. Humans can do better. We can do positive selection, something nature cannot do. We can make it so that the children not only don't get the genes that break every generation, but also get the best genes from both parents, something nature cannot do. If someone is "genetically inferior", then make sure their children only get their superior genes, even if it takes a few generations to really clean things up. Everyone could have health, beauty and brains. We need that, going into an uncertain future. Speaking of which, no one knows what the future will require for survival. The only way we will survive is based on the genetic wealth represented by all ethnic variation humanity has. You might not like some race or another but your descendant's survival may depend on their genes. Keep in mind that human cultural and genetic progress has always come from the mixing of peoples. Hybridization comes at a cost, but nature still selects for it, so it must be good.
