As an FYI, I study something around this and for me a key feature is that about 70,00 years ago, it seems humans took an evolutionary step in that the brain "re-organized" a fair amount. The parietal "lobe" developed quite a bit. In terms of what I study, it was when humans became dominant in the ecology ... and sort of went back to the more common "red of tooth and claw" strategy of nature from the more cooperative strategy they had been following since we left the trees (why human brain size had rapidly evolved) ... It's a long story... We still have instincts for both strategies. If you want to see something different that you might find interesting, may I recommend viewing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjVieFKevMk

I work on long term human survival as humans try to adapt to a new ecology after we left the tribal ecology for the farms and cities of civilization
